With much trepidation I recently agreed to run a series of classes for a group of home educated children. It's been a while since I taught children and besides my own I had never taught children of this age group. Plus their ages ranged from 5 - 11 so I was very nervous. I even wrote a lesson plan. I needn't have worried the children were delightful. Really keen to learn and a pleasure to teach. I had researched a project that revolved around leaf shapes. So I had collected and pressed a variety of shapes and sizes before the class. I had thought that two hours would be a long time but it flew by. I really enjoyed the session and am looking forward to the next one.
