Pottery Taster Workshop
This is a 2 hour workshop where you can explore your creative side in a relaxed and friendly environment.Come and play with clay and see if pottery is for you. In this session we will look at some hand building techniques such as slab work and coiling and you will make a pot which can be fired after it has dried and collected at a later date. Cost £30 which includes all materials, firing, tea and coffee.

Introduction to Handbuilt Pottery.
A 6 week course
This course will introduce you to a range of handbuilding techniques such as coiling, slab building, press moulds, pinch pots and more. Come and learn in a relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful, fully equipped studio. There will be a maximum of six places so there will be plenty of time and space to give everyone individual attention.
Six 2 ½ hour sessions - the next course will begin in January
All tools, materials and firings are included with the aim that you will be able to complete at least three pieces of work during the course. Please note there is no wheel throwing in this course.
You are very welcome to bring your own ideas to the course and ambition is welcomed, however there may be a further charge for materials and firing, depending on scale.
Evening or daytime workshops – single session up to 2 ½ hours

A chance to spend the evening getting creative and exploring handbuilding techniques. All sessions are individually tailored and suited to any level. We can do one to one lessons and groups up to six.
Individuals £35 pp per hour, 2-3 £30 pp per hour, groups of 4-6 £15 pp per hour.
The studio is well equipped with everything you'll need to learn hand building skills such as coiling, slab work, pinching, slip casting and more.
Included in the price are all materials, a range of glazes and firing.
A 6 hour workshop during which you will decorate two plates or pots and glaze them with a clear glaze. The pots will be fired and ready for collection approximately two weeks later.
A healthy homemade lunch, all materials and firing are included in the course.
Come and learn the art of illustrated pottery with Evelyn Albrow. Evelyn has an MA in illustration from Camberwell College of Arts, UAL, which is regarded as one of the UK's foremost art and design institutions. After completing her MA she joined forces with artist Fred Gwatkin to form Nupeppo studios. She worked for 10 years in London before returning to her home town Sheffield in 2018. We are delighted that she has agreed to deliver this course for us.
Arrive in time for tea or coffee at 9:45 for a 10:00 o’clock start
The morning will be spent looking at sources of inspiration and trying your hand at some pottery illustration before learning about the tools and techniques necessary to decorate pottery.
We will break for lunch at 12:30.
The workshop will restart at 1:30 and you will spend the afternoon decorating and glazing your pots
At 4:30 we will finish for a group chat over a glass of Prosecco or a cup of tea, about what you have achieved before clearing up to finish at 5:00
Have a relaxing time making unique porcelain Christmas decorations or candle holders.
This includes all materials, glazing and firing. Your decorations will be ready to collect before Christmas after they have been dried, glazed and fired.

Terms and Conditions
All courses must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
Cancellation and refunds
If you wish to cancel your place on a course you must do so at least 14 days before the course starts in order to receive a full refund. Cancellation must be made in writing or by email. Alternatively you may transfer your booking to another course free of charge.
If you cancel your place less than 14 days before your course starts, you will only receive a refund of 50% course fee (or 50% of the fee value to transfer to an alternative course).
We do not offer any refund after a course begins unless there are exceptional circumstances.
